Ferries in Suspended Operation

The ferry from Korsakov, Russia to Wakkanai, Japan has been suspended since 2019.

The New Jian Zhen ferry from Shanghai, China to Osaka, Japan has been suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Freight transport has resumed, but because the New Jian Zhen carries a large amount of cargo, it is inconvenient to dock at the Shanghai Port International Cruise Terminal in the city center. The Shanghai Jungong Road Terminal does not yet have the conditions for passenger inspection (construction is being accelerated), so passenger transport has not yet resumed and is expected to resume in 2025.
