📱 Introduction

kas is an Android application for managing accounts and purchasing apps. With kas, you can:

  • 🔐 Securely manage your accounts

  • 🌍 Support switching between app stores in multiple countries/regions

🚀 Installation and Startup

1. Download App

Download the latest version of the kas APK file from the download method provided on this webpage

Currently, this application is in internal testing and is only available in the internal communication group. Please join the communication group to download the app. Please continue reading to get the link to join the communication group

  • Ensure that you download the official version to avoid using third-party sources

2. Install App

  1. Allow installation of apps from unknown sources in phone settings
  2. Find the downloaded APK file
  3. Click Install
  4. Wait for installation to complete

3. Open App

  1. Open the kas app
  2. Read the security warning page
  3. Click “Official Website” or “Official Documentation” for details
  4. After confirming understanding of the risks, click “I understand the risks, enter the app”

4. Permission Description

The app requires the following permissions:

  • Internet Access: Used to connect to the app store server to query app information
  • Network State: Used to check network connection status

📚 Detailed Tutorial

Step 1: Add Account

Preparation

Important: Before adding an account, please ensure:

  1. You are using your own account
  2. The account is not bound to any payment method (credit card, debit card, PayPal, etc.)
  3. If the account has Two-Factor Authentication enabled, please have your trusted device ready

Steps to Add Account

  1. Open the kas app
  2. Click the “Account” tab in the bottom navigation bar
  3. Click the “Add Account” button (+ icon)
  4. Enter your account email
  5. Enter password
  6. Click the “Login” button. You may need to enter the Two-Factor Authentication code
  7. Wait for login to complete

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

If your account has Two-Factor Authentication enabled:

  1. A Two-Factor Authentication dialog will pop up when logging in
  2. Check the 6-digit verification code on your trusted device. It may be an SMS.
  3. Enter the verification code in the dialog
  4. Click “Confirm” to complete login

Login Successful

After successful login, you will see your account information in the account list.


Step 2: Search Apps

  1. Click the “Search” tab in the bottom navigation bar
  2. Enter the app name or keyword in the search box
    • For example: X, WeChat, Instagram
  3. Click the “Search” button or the search button on the keyboard
  4. Browse search results
  5. Click any app to view details

Method 2: Open from Clipboard

If you have an app link:

  1. Copy the app link to the clipboard
  2. Open the “Search” page of the kas app
  3. Click the “Open from Clipboard” button
  4. The app will automatically recognize the link and open the app details page

Switch Country/Region

App Store content may vary by country/region:

  1. At the top of the search page, click the country/region code (e.g., “US”)
  2. Select your desired country/region from the list
    • 🇺🇸 US - United States
    • 🇨🇳 CN - China
    • 🇯🇵 JP - Japan
    • 🇰🇷 KR - South Korea
    • 🇸🇬 SG - Singapore
    • 🇹🇼 TW - Taiwan

  3. Search again to view apps in that region

Step 3: View App Details

After clicking any app, you can see:

Basic Information

Detailed Information

  • 📦 App Size
  • 🔢 Current Version Number

Action Buttons

  • Purchase: Record purchase information for free apps
  • View Versions: View historical versions of the app (purchase required first)

Step 4: Purchase App

Note: kas only supports free apps, not paid apps.

Single Account Purchase

If you have only one account:

  1. Click the “Purchase” button on the app details page
  2. The app will automatically use your account to purchase
  3. Wait for the purchase to complete
  4. After successful purchase, it will automatically jump to the “Download Management” page

Multi-Account Purchase

If you have multiple accounts:

  1. Click the “Purchase” button on the app details page
  2. Select the account to use
  3. Or select “Purchase with all accounts” to purchase simultaneously
  4. Wait for the purchase to complete

Purchase Instructions

  • ✅ The purchase operation will add the app to your account purchase history
  • ✅ This will not incur any costs (free apps only)
  • ⚠️ Please ensure the account used is not bound to a payment method

Step 5: View Download Management

View Task List

  1. Click the “Download” tab in the bottom navigation bar
  2. View all purchase records and tasks

Task Status

Each task may be in one of the following states:

  • 🕐 Waiting: Task created, waiting to start
  • 🔄 Purchasing: Purchasing app
  • Completed: Purchase completed
  • Failed: Purchase or download failed
  • ⏸️ Paused: Task paused
  • 🚫 Cancelled: Task cancelled

View Details

Click a task to view:

  • Basic app information
  • Purchasing account
  • Purchase time
  • Operation result
  • Error message (if any)

Batch Operations

Click the delete icon at the top to delete all completed tasks.


Step 6: Manage Accounts

View Account Information

  1. Click the “Account” tab in the bottom navigation bar
  2. Click any account to view details
    • Account Email
    • Name
    • Account Status
    • Added Time

Delete Account

  1. On the account details page
  2. Click the “Delete Account” button
  3. Confirm deletion

Note: Deleting an account will remove all information about that account from the local database, this operation cannot be undone.

Account Status

  • Normal: Account can be used normally
  • ⚠️ Update Required: Token expired, need to log in again
  • Abnormal: Account has issues

❓ FAQ

About Account Security

Q1: Is my password safe?

A: Your password is stored encrypted on your local device and will not be uploaded to any server.

Q2: Will using kas cause my account to be banned?

A: Using third-party tools to access services may violate the app store’s terms of service, and the app store has the right to restrict or ban your account. Please fully understand the risks and bear the consequences yourself.

Q3: Can I use an account bound to a credit card?

A: Absolutely not! To prevent accidental charges, please be sure to use an account that is not bound to any payment method.

Q4: What if I suspect my account password has been leaked?

A: Change your password immediately. If you believe the leak was caused by the kas app, please delete all accounts and uninstall the kas app. If you believe the leak was not caused by the kas app, please delete the account first and then re-add it to continue using the kas app.


About App Purchase

Q5: Why can I only purchase free apps?

A: kas is designed to support only free apps to prevent users from incurring accidental charges. We do not support or encourage purchasing paid apps through the kas app.

Q6: Will purchasing free apps incur charges?

A: Free apps themselves do not incur charges. However, if your account is bound to a payment method, charges may occur for other reasons. This is why we strongly urge you not to use accounts bound to payment methods.

Q7: What if the purchase fails?

A: Purchase failure may be due to the following reasons:

  • Network connection issues: Check your network connection
  • Account issues: Try logging in again
  • Token expired: Delete account and re-add
  • App removed: The app may not be available in the current region
  • App store server issues: Try again later

Q8: Why can’t I find a certain app?

A: Possible reasons:

  • Incorrect app name input
  • App not available in the currently selected country/region
  • App removed
  • App only available in specific regions

  • Check app name spelling
  • Try switching to a different country/region

About Two-Factor Authentication

Q9: What is Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)?

A: Two-Factor Authentication is a security feature that requires a password and a temporary verification code when logging in to ensure that only you can access the account. It may appear as a pop-up on other devices or as an SMS verification code.

Q10: How to get the verification code?

A: The verification code will be displayed on your trusted devices (iPhone, iPad, Mac, etc.). Open these devices and check the pop-up verification code prompt.

Q11: What if I don’t receive the verification code?

A:

  • Ensure your trusted device is connected to the internet
  • Check if the device is turned on
  • Try to get the verification code again

About Data and Privacy

Q12: Does kas collect my data?

A: No. kas does not collect any user data. All account information is encrypted and stored locally on your device and will not be uploaded to any server.

Q13: Do ads collect my data?

A: Ads in the app are provided by third-party ad services, which may collect data according to their privacy policies. Ad pages will request you to confirm data-related permissions.

Q14: What happens to data after uninstalling the app?

A: After uninstalling the app, all locally stored account information and data will be deleted.
